A weekend escapes from a busy metro manila.
Baguio City, the City of Fines, the Summer Capital and the most popular summer destination in the Philippines. The best place for family vacation and long weekend getaway from busy Metro Manila especially manila experiencing a hotter summer. Aside from vacation, there are lots of activities or family bonding that can be done in City of Fines. One of the great outdoor venues is TreeTop Adventure Baguio.
TAGMedia invited few Pinoy Blogger members (facebook group) to try and experience TreeTop Adventure Baguio Team Building facilities and zip line rides. It was a privileged to be part of Pinoy Bloggers Baguio Weekend Getaway. In fact, I was so excited about this out of town escapade. 5 days before our trip, I already packed my things in my trave bag.
By the way, Tree Top Adventure Baguio and Subic are the one and only theme parks with motorized team building facilities in the country and have different awesome and extreme zip-lines adventures in the heart of nature. There are almost 12 team building activities in TTA Baguio and all motorized equipment for team building are safe.
We are the huge numbers of bloggers invited by TAGMedia for this event. 17 people including TAGMedia scholars and guests. We were divided into two teams. The Team Pia, led by Allan and his members are millennial babies while Team Tanders! led by yours truly Orlee and seven young at heart members. Each team has a tour guide as the gamemasters. We have eight (8) different courses to finish in the fastest time. ABC Game, Team See Saw, Loop Lift, Gem Drop, Plank Step, Pipeline and Treasure Hunt.
ABC Game – active listening is the key to the game. Team members are blindfolded (but in our game, we were not blindfolded) forming two lines back to back with their teammates. Each member says one letter from the alphabet, as the team tries to recite all the letters in proper sequence. Are fastest time is 10 seconds same as Team Pia.
Bar Lifter Balancer – patience and member coordination are key to this game. A bar lifting challenge that also requires marbles be balanced in bars; a fun game that tests your team’s patience and coordination skills.
Team See Saw – measure the total weight of the team, then divide into two equal weight (assuming). Strike a balance in the fastest time using a kamikaze-inspired see-saw to test your patience and communication skills. We finished the task at 26 seconds while the other team finished it around 90 seconds.
Loop Lift – patience and speed. Using only your index fingers, each team member tries to lower a loop until a certain height, practicing team patience and coordination.
Gem Drop – Good listening and coordination. Sharpen your coordination skills to accomplish a perfect cube drop using push and pull strategies in the fastest time possible. We took 26 minutes to complete this task.
Plank Step – Balance, speeds, and patience. Team members must travel from one station to another without touching the floor using only the planks provided.
Pipeline – A very challenging game. Team members are given pipes which they would use to transfer a ping pong ball from one station to another without letting the ball fall to the ground.
Treasure Hunt – quick mind thinking and speed. Team members are given pieces of a map that they need to form to see the bigger picture and determine the location of the treasure.
In the end of the day, we learned how to measure and control our patience, enhance our communication skills and active listening skills. Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common goal. And by the way, the young at heart the TEAM TANDERS! WON against Team Pia.
